The CMS Conferences of the Centre for Maritime Studies (CMS) is the leading organiser of maritime conferences and seminars in Finland. Our strength is the comprehensive knowledge of the maritime affairs, especially related to the Baltic Sea area and northern conditions.

Our mission is to offer up-to-date information on the topical and burning maritime questions. Our conference speakers are recognized professional experts. Our events are well-known forums for the actors and decision-makers of the maritime industry and organisations. We offer you excellent opportunities for networking.

Our experience at your service

The CMS Conferences have already over 20 years of practise of organising maritime seminars and conferences. We know what our clientele expects, and what the topics of the day are. We plan and execute our events ourselves.

We are actively seeking new information. We meet and interview numerous specialists to be able to produce conferences of the latest information. 

In addition to our extensive interest groups, we have the scientific network of the University of Turku at our disposal. Naturally, our own research activities are a solid ground to build our conferences on.

Conferences

We arrange a number of international conferences each year. These events are directed both for national and international experts and they offer up-to-date information on topical issues and a special forum for professionals of the maritime and logistics field to meet.

Education

We arrange university level continuing education in the maritime and related fields. Continuing education courses and different personnel training programmes can also be tailored to suit the particular needs of a client.

Research and Expert Services

The expert services we offer include logistics and industry business consulting, research and development projects for the maritime sector and international co-operation projects.
